Big Tangy, Velvety Rich Flavors Combine Into One Perfectly Easy Feta Dip

Feta is so many things—rich, crumbly, salty—and we love any chance to highlight just how special it is. A Greek cheese made from either sheep's milk or a mixture of sheep and goat's milk, feta is a soft, crumbly cheese that adds an extra tanginess to any dish you add it to. We took this tangy cheese and whipped it up to create the most delicious feta dip recipe ever. This outrageously good spread is here to prove there is nothing betta than feta.

This Creamy Feta Dip Is No Ordinary Snack

This whipped feta dip recipe is a Mediterranean appetizer that draws inspiration from the feta spread htipiti, made of Greek red pepper and feta. The feta itself is crumbly, but when blended and processed with yogurt, milk, oil, lemon juice and all the herbs and spices, it transforms into the most delicious Greek feta dip that everyone will enjoy. Incorporate it into your mezze platter or charcuterie board for truly any occasion. This recipe is so good and easy to make you just might want to double it.

What Is Feta Dip Made Of?

There are a lot of elements to making a great recipe for feta dip. Here are the things that make this recipe stand out:

  • Feta: The shining star and the namesake of this spread. You can choose to buy 6 ounce pre-crumbled or work with a 6 ounce block and crumble it yourself for this recipe.

  • Greek yogurt: The second most important ingredient. This is what you'll use as the creamy base for your dip. It's thick, smooth, and tangy on its own and complements the cheese.

  • Dried herbs and spices: Dried dill, basil, and oregano along with both garlic and onion powder liven up this feta dip recipe and make it a savory addition to just about anything.

  • Olive oil: Enhances and melds the flavors of your creamy feta dip.

  • Lemon juice: Lemon juice is always great for finishing off dishes, and this recipe is no exception. A little bit of it goes a long way to brightening up and evening out this dip.

Make This Whipped Feta Dip Your Own With All of the Toppings

Once it's blended to a spreadable consistency, the options are endless. This feta cheese dip is so good that you could eat it all on its own, but we suggest dressing it up with different toppings to add even more flavor. Drizzle it with olive oil and flaky sea salt, spice it up with chili flakes, or stir in some fresh herbs such as dill or basil, to deepen the taste of the dried herbs already in our recipe for feta dip. No matter what you mix it with, this dip can truly be served with anything.

How Do I Store Feta Dip?

We usually don’t have much as far as leftovers go once we put this dip out, but if you find yourself in a different position our creamy feta dip can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days. Revive it to enjoy a second time around by transferring the dip to a bowl and mixing it with a rubber spatula to lighten it back up, to its airy texture.
